In the News: Community Problem Solving Project T.E.S.S.

Magnolia, Texas (April 14, 2009) Students from Nichols Sawmill Elementary were interviewed by Potpourri News about Project T.E.S.S. (Therapeutic Education for Special Students).

Project T.E.S.S. a Community Problem Solving project was born out of the student’s desire to help Life Skills Students (students with limited physical and/or mental abilities) in their school.  After researching and exploring different activities, the students decided to bring Tess, a miniature horse affiliated with the SIRE to their school.    Their goal is to raise over $10,000 to cover the cost of bringing Tess to Sawmill Elementary and Williams Elementary in Magnolia ISD, Texas once a month for two years.
